Favorite Quotes: (1) “God is immutable, which means that He has never changed and can never change in any smallest measure.“ (2) "Now by our definition…God is real…All other reality is contingent upon His. The great Reality is God who is the Author of that lower and dependent reality which makes up the sum of created things, including ourselves. God has obective existence independent of and apart from any notions which we may have concerning Him.” (3) “Men do not know that God is here. What a difference it would make if they knew.” (4) “As the sailor locates his position on the sea by ‘shooting’ the sun, so we may get our moral bearings by looking at God. We must begin with God. We are right when and only when we stand in a right position relative to God, and we are wrong so far and so long as we stand in any other position.”

Why I Chose It: My Dad gave me this first edition copy when I first started college. It was a signficant and influential book for me during a significant and influential time of my life. Four years later it was time for a reread.

Other Notes: This may be a small book, but in length only. I was extremely encouraged by rereading it - especially because of the reminders of who God is, His character, and who we are in relation to Him.
