Album: Of Dirt And Grace
Artist: Hillsong United
Release Date: July 15, 2016
My Format: Apple Music

I haven't kept up with new music from Hillsong (United or otherwise) in recent years. I didn't even listen through "Empires" fully when it came out. But I took notice of "Of Dirt And Grace" when I saw this music video. ODAG has several major things going for it - it is an acoustic take of the "Empires" album (I'm always drawn to acoustic cuts), it is accompanied by live music videos shot in Biblically and historically significant locations, and, especially in "Prince of Peace", Taya voice shines incredibly.

I ended up listening to this the entire time I was in central California visiting Yosemite, King's Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks. The music fit the setting well. Some of the best tracks mix up the lead vocalists (like "Say The Word"...Jad kills it as he always does), and once again, the strength of the United team is very evident. They are extremely good at what they do. As far as specific songs which shine as acoustic renditions, my picks are "Empires" and "Prince of Peace".
