TRAVEL | LDN + NYC | Fall 2018

A pleasant repeat of Spring! I managed to hit both London and New York in a one month period, with a bunch of craziness in between (which I cover in other blog posts if you want to snoop around!) - here is a non-comprehensive list of what is sampled by the photos below: a day and night excursion to Tower Bridge, a company conference held at the Dorchester in Hyde Park, running into my bomb friend Anna Meyer in London and trekking the length of the Thames, struggling up from DC to NYC in a bus during a snowstorm, shooting backstage at Wicked in NYC with the inimitable and original Teale Dvornik and even running a little fitness session at the Gershwin with Lauren Sambataro, accidentally buying some more tech fleece at the 5th Avenue Nike store, running around Times Square and Grand Central Station like tourists with Travis and Lily Cottrell, finding Anna again in Brooklyn and waiting for an hour for the best pizza I’ve had in New York so far, and of course starting Christmas a little early with Trav and Lily at Carnegie Hall, where I saw some old Union friends and happened to meet up with my cousin Titus (sadly not pictured).

Oh, plus by the time I made it to New York City, I had picked up a new nifty little Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera and a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L EF IS III USM to go with it. It balanced the scales pretty quickly with all the photo work I’ve been doing this year, but oh man, as soon as I started shooting out in the city at night I was completely captured by it. This mirrorless technology is pretty dope. And the 70-200mm, well. I mean. It is almost like having super powers. Anyway - now you see why this post is so long! Too much good stuff, I can’t cut any of it!
