SCENES | Classy Christmas | Winter 2017

Classy Christmas is staple of the Christmas season on Capitol Hill. When the hosts from the past few years decided not to hold the event at their place, my friend Elizabeth offered to throw the party on the condition that my house (The Iron Maiden) could serve as the venue. Our friend Jackie, along with my industrious housemates, joined in and after a few weeks of tidying up, planning, Costco, IKEA, and Home Depot runs, we managed to fix up and clean up both outstanding house chores (props to Adam for his carpentry skills!) and set up for a classy Christmas event!

Highlights included hours and hours behind the scenes with friends working on the house, hanging (literally) as many lights as I could find and buy, a towed car, hours of snow ending exactly at eight, setting up and using a photobooth in our bike nook, It's A Wonderful Life on the back wall, and of course a lot of good conversations and time spent with friends new and old.

For a short time you can check this Dropbox link for a full set of (all of the semi-in-focus) pictures (that I could salvage from the extremely unhelpful lighting). And don't forget to watch the highlight video above!
