TRAVEL | Alaska | Fall 2018

I flew from Washington DC to Anchorage, AK, and drove to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park on the last day it was officially open in 2018. The fall foliage was incredible, every turnout provided breathtaking views, and there were plenty of Bald Eagles, Bears, Moose, and even the Aurora Borealis at 3am! Kennecott is an old abandoned copper mine town in the middle of the Park and definitely worth a visit.

Wil and Morgan come to Anchorage for a UU work trip, and we drive out to the Kenai Peninsula. More Bald Eagles, some Bison, a TON of Salmon, a glacier, but no Moose. None.

On my way to all 60 National Parks, Wrangell-St. Elias is number 33 and Kenai Fjords is number 34 (click through the links to see pictures).

“All I Can Think About Is You” by Coldplay
“The Goldrush” by Coldplay

YouTube didn’t let me upload the first video because of the Coldplay songs, so I made this alternate version featuring “Gold Rush” by Death Cab for Cutie, which you can watch below:
